Although not as tall as most figured species of Pentaceraster, the five bumps arranged in a pentagon middorsally and smaller bumps extending out onto the arms seem characteristic of that genus. These are most likely all juveniles, with the larger ones about 50 to 60mm in diameter. We did not see any adults.
