Giant trevally, 170cm

We see these giant trevallies rarely. I watched one pass my dive buddy on the seaward reef at Namu Atoll, and it looked just about as long as she is tall. We have also sighted them rarely in the distance on the seaward reef at Kwajalein. The two photos immediately below were taken by Christina Sylvester in shallow water on the lagoon side of Kwajalein Island.

The photo below is of a fish that took me by surprise on a night dive in Hawaii, allowing me to get only one fast shutter release before it vanished back into the darkness.
