Decapterus maruadsi (Temminck & Schlegel, 1843)
Japanese scad, 30cm

These form fast moving schools of silvery fish most often on atoll lagoon pinnacles. I'm not sure I can tell from these photos the difference between these and a related species, Decapterus macarellus, but since that species has not previously been reported from the Marshalls, it seems safest to go with D. maruadsi, which is known from this area.
