Trachinotus baillonii (Lacepède, 1801)
Small spotted pompano, 60cm

This is a shallow water species we have seen in only a few isolated locations around Kwajalein. We have found schools of them around the tops of some lagoon pinnacles and patch reefs, where these photos were taken. Reported to reach 60cm, a typical length is more like 35cm.
