Mexichromis similaris (Rudman, 1986)
10mm

I'm not completely confident about this ID. It also resembles some variations of Verconia norba, but that species in the Marshalls tends to be wider with much lighter colored gills. This species is known in the Marshalls from a pair of specimens found at Utirik Atoll in 1983 and a single one from Kwajalein 10 years later. The Utirik specimens were 9 and 10mm long and were found under a rock in about 5 meters of water on a lagoon reef.
