Asteronotus cespitosus (van Hasselt, 1824)

This large nudibranch can be found fairly often sitting out in the open by day or night. I saw it both around Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii. Specimens I saw in Hawaii were all considerably smaller than those I saw in the Philippines.
