Peltodoris rubra (Bergh, 1905)

I saw only a few specimens of this species in Hawaii. The only one for which I have data was found off Barbers Point, Oahu, at a depth of about 16m on 28 August 1977. It was under a rock with the white egg mass visible at the right side of the photograph. This is a fairly large dorid; the specimen below measured about 70mm.
