Phyllidiopsis sphingis Brunckhorst, 1993

We saw this species fairly regularly, but only on Oahu's north shore at Pupukea and Three Tables, and at Puako on the Big Island. They were in ledges and small caves at depths of 5 to 20m on both day and night dives.

The two shots below show several specimens eating a light orange sponge.
