We saw only one tiny specimen of this species. It was at Haleiwa, Oahu, on 24 July 1980. It was almost certainly a juvenile of the species figured on Sea Slugs of Hawaii. If so, they develop a more brown color, particularly on the dorsal balls, as they get older. Many of the dorsal balls had fallen off the specimen figured here.
