A number of different seabirds nest on Kure. Some of them are figured on the pages linked below. I am no expert on birds, but the number of animals on this small patch of land was impressive. Nearly all had no fear of man, and they often showed considerable curiosity. I regretted that I had only a still camera; I would like to have captured the actions and sounds.
