Lethrinus olivaceus Valenciennes, 1830
Longface emperor, 100cm

Lethrinus olivaceus is uncommon at Kwajalein. Sporadic individuals can be seen on the seaward reef. Fishbase reports it to about 100cm, with a more common length of about 70cm.

The two photos below by Christina Sylvester show what we suspect to be smaller individuals of Lethrinus olivaceus, based primarily on the slightly concave slope of the snout. However, they were close to an area where Lethrinus microdon was observed, and it is possible we are mixing up the species.
