Aclyvolva coarctata (Sowerby in Adams & Reeve, 1848)

This
species is found on
the steep seaward reef slopes. They are similar to Aclyvolva
lanceolata and A.
sp., but the mantle papillae resemble the branching polyps of the gorgonian
they live upon. Both the polyps and papillae are retracted in these photos,
but they can be extended to look like small whitish flowers. Like A. lanceolata,
this species lives on red whip-like gorgonians in the genus Ellisella.
