Gymnodorid Nudibranchs

The gymnodorid nudibranchs tend to be very active and fast-moving, and are generally voracious predators on other opisthobranch mollusks. It seems the basic color pattern for gymnodorids is white with orange or red spots, although there are numerous exceptions. Because of their similarities, many species appear to still be unknown to science.
